Why Appreciate Lasting Romantic Relationships? ? Sexuality ...

I was reading a post on this blog last night:

http://theinkbrain.wordpress.com/

And these thoughts came to mind:

It is common to hear people say:? Marriages these days fall apart because people can get a divorce so easy, and therefore people don?t work at it when problems arise.? They blame the ease of divorce for a high divorce rate.?

It is a good thing that?divorce is easy.? I don?t want anyone to be trapped in a marriage where they are unhappy or unhealthy.

I think understanding the ease of divorce is an essential element to appreciating the beauty of lasting relationships.

There are 3 things that should help people appreciate lasting romantic relationships:

1)? Divorce is easy.? On any day in a modern couple?s life, it takes only one of the two people to decide the relationship will end.? No fault must be proven.? It takes only one?person to decide they wish to leave.

2)? If both individuals in the relationship have plenty of financial assets and plenty of income potential, then if they stay together, it is likely because they choose to or want to.? It is not likely because they have to.

3)? With modern dating technologies and social networking tools, if someone is dissatisfied in their current marriage or long-term relationship, and they?d like to find someone new, it?s never been easier to find someone new with compatible interests.

When I see a modern couple that stays together, I?m amazed.? By default, I wonder about all the good chemistries they must share, because it?s so easy to break up these days.

The ?ease of divorce? is not the enemy.? Because divorce is easy, we can appreciate couples who stay together.
